President Maduro congratulates the famous baseball player Luis Aparicio on his 90th birthday

On Monday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the distinguished Venezuelan baseball player Luis Ernesto Aparicio Montiel, who reached his 90th birthday.

Through his account on the social network X, the Head of State pointed out that the Venezuelan player “has not only been one of the best shortcuts of all time in the major leagues, but he has managed to place our Venezuela on the highest pedestal.”

He said that Aparicio is “an example of what it is to be an ambassador of the Venezuelan affirmative.”

Aparicio was inducted into the Cooperstown Hall of Fame in 1984, and is, so far, the only Venezuelan to achieve this achievement in the major leagues . In Maracaibo, November 11 is celebrated as Luis Aparicio's day, in reference to the number on his uniform.
