This Monday, February 26, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent affectionate congratulations and greetings to his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, on his 70th birthday.

In his program With Maduro+, the Head of State said: “we are waiting for you in Venezuela, sooner rather than later, to continue to advance in prosperity, in the relationship of cooperation between the two peoples.”

He added that “today President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is turning 70 years old. Between us there is a relationship of friendship and true affection. I was telling Foreign Minister Yván Gil today that I see President Erdogan as an older brother and he sees me as a brother too -perhaps as one of the youngest-. I say to you from here: Congratulations! Blessings to you and the people of Turkey and we look forward to seeing you in Venezuela.”
