President Maduro congratulates Carabobo FC for their first title in the FUTVE League

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated Carabobo FC this Sunday after becoming champion of the Open Tournament of the Futve League 2024, defeating Metropolitanos FC 3-0 at the Misael Delgado Sports Center in Valencia.

“Congratulations to all your fans in Carabobo and in the country. It was a good game, Carabobo managed to score the goals at the right time,” said the President during a new edition of NicoLive, broadcast through his account on the social network TikTok.

With goals from Leonardo Aponte, Juan Carlos Ortiz and Franner López, the Grenados ended a 28-year drought, winning the cup of the local tournament for the first time.

Thanks to its victory, Carabobo FC entered its name in the qualifying phase of the Copa Libertadores, also earning the right to play the absolute final against the champion of the Claadura Tournament, only to not repeat the title in the next semester.
