The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during a telephone contact with a program broadcast on Telesur television, reiterated that once the National Assembly sends to his office the Organic Law on the territory of Guiana Esequiba, a series of decrees will be issued to strengthen the recovery of this land that belongs to Venezuela.

“There, a series of provocations have been set up on the part of Guyana that has given way to the entry of the Southern Command, from the United States, to the North American intelligence center, to operate from the Essequibo, to promote the destruction of that territory, through the contamination and exploitation of its resources, so we are going to recover the Essequibo, which is Bolivarian territory,” stressed the national president.

He asserted that the struggle for this historically Venezuelan territory is part of a national sentiment and he yearns for the day when he will put his rubric in the Organic Law for the recovery of the Essequibo territory.
