President Maduro: Commander, this is your triumph, this people have never failed you

The president of
the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, dedicated the victory in this Sunday's
elections to Commander Hugo Chávez, as a gift on his
70th birthday.
“My first
thought is to the Creator Father (...) thank you for giving this triumph to this people
who deserve it after so much sacrifice, resistance and struggle. It is the triumph
of peace, of stability, of the republican ideal, it is the triumph of the ideas
of equality,” the Head of State initially said from the
Miraflores Palace, where he received a crowd of people.
He recalled that “yesterday
(July 28) we were giving an offering for the 70th birthday to
our Commander Hugo Chávez, and this, Commander, is your triumph, this town
has never failed you. Long live Chávez and the country continues!”
