President Maduro: Commander Chávez turned history into a living force to keep fighting

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized this Sunday that Commander Hugo Chávez was the one who built the method that turned “history into living force” to continue fighting against attacks against the Homeland and the People of Venezuela.

“Our beloved teacher and Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías built the historical method that turns (...) history into living force and that living force with its ideas, into a present project, an example and an inspiration,” said the Head of State during the Act of Reception of the Symbolic Remains of Cristóbal Mendoza at the National Pantheon in Caracas.

He pointed out that in the “most difficult circumstances, when they took 930 measures of sanctions against the economy, when they made the economy collapse, when they made us lose 99% of the country's income (...) the force that has moved us, and moves me, is the living example of the liberators and liberators of America, who were able to cross a continent on foot, with a sword, to liberate, found the Republic and to tell the Spanish empire: Get out of here!”

He reaffirmed that it is this “spiritual force of the historical method, of turning history into spiritual force, into living force”, that pushes all Venezuelans to move forward despite difficulties.
