The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, championed this Tuesday the delegation of athletes who will participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games (Olympic Games), which will be held from July 26 to August 11 in the French capital.

“Golden youth, the golden generation, carry this flag as our athlete Julio César León wore it in 1948, as all our youth have worn it worthily at every Olympic Games. You have a great commitment because you represent the most sublime, the most beautiful thing that our country has, your youth, you are the hope of a whole time, of an entire era, and I solemnly and officially give you the most beautiful thing I can give you, which is the flag of Venezuela,” said the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace.

The queen of triple jump Yulimar Rojas and the weightlifter Julio Mayora were the Olympic athletes responsible for receiving the national tricolor on behalf of all the athletes who will represent the country in the international competition.

The Venezuelan Dignitary also championed the Paralympic athletes, led by Lisbeli Vera and Luis Rodríguez. “Marching with our flag, feel that behind you are millions of men and women, from entire families, seeing you with love and supporting you with all their strength and when you are already in your powers, raise this flag and bring it victorious,” said President Maduro.
