Through the social network X, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated this Monday the victory of the candidate, Claudia Sheinbaum, elected as the new president of Mexico.

“I congratulate this noble people, its President-elect Claudia Sheinbaum, the Morena Party, the PT and the Social Movements,” wrote the Head of State on the social network.

He also recognized the great demonstration of democracy that the Mexican people gave in the elections. “Extraordinary demonstration of citizenship and democracy we saw this Sunday #2Jun in Mexico, a great turnout in the presidential elections,” he said.

In addition, he congratulated President Andrés Manuel López Obrador for his administration at the head of Mexico. “Congratulations to President @lopezobrador_, who is a great leader of Mexico and of our continent. This is a great victory for the Great Homeland. I hug you! Long live Mexico!” , he said.
