The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated this Thursday the first anniversary of the enactment of the Organic Law for the Defense of the Essequibo, which ratifies the country's legitimate rights over this territory.

Through his Telegram channel, the Head of State recalled that this instrument “masterfully reflects the sovereign decision of the People, through the five questions and answers in the consultative referendum of the #3Dic of 2023”.

He stressed that this Law is “fundamental so that, in national union, with the greatest nationalist and patriotic fervor, we Venezuelans move forward in the comprehensive recovery of the historical rights of our Guiana Esequiba. Sooner rather than later, with intelligence, audacity and strategy, we are going to achieve it,” he emphasized.
