The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated this Monday the Vatican's announcement that Pope Francis approved the decree recognizing a second miracle of Blessed Carmen Elena Rendiles Martínez, to become the second Venezuelan saint.

“The year 2025 is full of great news in all areas. We received with Christian joy and great expectation the announcement of our Saint, Mother Carmen Rendiles, a woman who was a balm, a genuine demonstration of God's love on earth, with a legacy of proven miracles,” said the head of state through his social networks.

He indicated that the canonization of the blessed “is ratified by the Catholic Church, through His Holiness, Pope Francis”, so “Venezuela renews its faith, and the world has more reasons to pray with us, to cry out for the hope and brightness of our country, to enlighten and reach them.”

The announcement comes weeks after the sanctity's approval of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández.

“May God, Saint Joseph Gregorio Hernández and Saint Carmen Rendiles bless Venezuela and beyond!” , said the Dignitary.
