President Maduro celebrates 16 years of installation of the Founding Congress of the PSUV

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated this Friday, together with all the members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), the 16th anniversary of the installation of the Founding Congress of the Red Awning, by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez.

“16 years ago, at an event led by our Commander Hugo Chávez, the Founding Congress of the PSUV was installed in which the foundations were laid for what is today a powerful political, popular and revolutionary force that creates, transforms and is capable of overcoming any difficulty,” highlighted the head of state and president of the party through his account on the social network X.

On January 12, 2008, in a historic event, the Founding Congress of the PSUV was installed. Under the leadership of Commander Chávez, it was possible to form the foundations of the country's largest political party, its declaration of principles and the organization's statutes.
