President Nicolás Maduro extended his congratulations to the Muslim community for the end of the holy month of Ramadan and celebrated that this religious group lives together in peace and respect in Venezuela.

The meeting, held at the Miraflores Palace, was attended by the first fighter Cilia Flores de Maduro, the deputy Nicolás Maduro Guerra, and Khalid Abdul Hadid, director of the Islamic World League in the Bolivarian country.

“I know that sooner rather than later God will grant us the blessing of respect and freedom to the people of Palestine, it will be like that, we will see a Palestinian people living free in their ancestral land,” said the Head of State at the close of the month of Ramadan.

Ramadan, which lasts approximately 30 days, can vary depending on the sighting of the waxing Moon in the tenth month of the Islamic calendar. This year, Ramadan began on February 28 and is expected to end around March 30, 2025.

The celebration of Ramadan coincides with the date on which the Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. Muslims around the world are preparing for this holiday, which begins with the view of the waxing Moon, which marks the holiest month in the Islamic calendar.
