The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, called on the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the National Assembly (AN) and the Organized Popular Power to work, by 2024, on a joint plan that allows communities, through the vote, to choose justices of the peace for the country.
During the opening of the judicial year 2024, the Head of State pointed out that the training schools that the country's highest court has are the spaces to accredit these judges.
“We have to get out of the offices, out of the offices, let's go out and listen to the People's Power so that it is more powerful, just and adapted to the new times,” he said.
In this regard, the President reiterated the call to deepen direct, participatory and leading democracy where the People can get involved to guarantee the application of justice in the country.
