This Monday, October 7, in the Digital Zone segment, of the 61st broadcast of the Con Maduro+ program, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, argued that the project of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is unfeasible, insane and criminal.
“Today marks one year since this genocide”, referring to Israel's ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people.
He emphasized that “defending Palestine and its right to life, to its independence, to existence, is to protect the right to existence of Venezuela, Latin America and the Caribbean. It's a crucial battle between fascism, colonialism, Zionism and the right to independence and cultural diversity.”
The National President emphasized that Netanyahu “has led to the total discrediting of the struggle that the Jewish people have had against the extermination of Hitler.”
He stressed that “it has to be said that it is a horrible war of extermination, or is it that the 27,000 children and the more than 10,000 women who died, as well as 80% of the buildings and entire houses destroyed under Netanyahu's high-precision bombs, were from Hamas?”
He considered that “only the historic union between the Peoples of this region will guarantee peace and existence”.
In this regard, he described it as “very regrettable that, in one year, international law and the institutions of the UN (United Nations Organization) were left under the rubble. The ICJ (International Court of Justice) demonstrated that it responds to Western powers, to Zionism.”
“The ICJ could have stopped the massacre and they didn't want to, because they respond to those who dominate them and it amazes me, how news portals and media outlets report that it was the year of Israel's war against Hamas. They are also complicit in the genocide,” he said.
He also reported that Israel bombed cities in Lebanon within hours of signing a peace agreement between Arab nations.
He also emphasized that the objective of the Israeli Zionist government is to try to colonize leading countries of the world.
For his part, the ambassador of the State of Palestine in Venezuela, Fadi Alzaben, said that after a year the bombs are still falling in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Palestine.
He expressed concern about what continues to happen in Palestine, one year after the Israeli war, which has taken the lives of more than 42,000 people and where the international community is complicit.
“This has been under impunity and the complicit silence of the international community towards Israel,” he denounced.
He said that “all the world's organizations have failed us, they have shown no interest in putting an end to Israeli aggressions and atrocities against our people.”
“Israel has turned the entire Gaza Strip into a children's cemetery, in the sight of the European Union, of the UN,” he said.
In addition, Alzaben said that “on behalf of President Mahmud Abbas, I want to thank him for such a show of brotherhood, solidarity and support for the cause of Palestine.”
“Thanks to the courageous people of Venezuela for being on the right side of history,” he said.
In his speech, the ambassador of the Republic of Lebanon, Elías Lebbos, said that “I want to say with great sadness that for two weeks Lebanon has been under attack by missiles and drones”.
“The Lebanese people feel and thank the Venezuelan people for their supportive greeting of peace, support and dialogue, in the face of a world that is silent in the face of the crimes that are happening. We are going to build Lebanon again. It will be reborn like the Phoenix,” he said.
The ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic, Kenan Zaher Al Deen, at the beginning of his speech, congratulated “the brother Venezuelan people for the start of Christmas”.
“On behalf of the Syrian people, I am grateful for the political and humanitarian initiative for our countries, which reflect the unity of the same struggle and trench against the empire and its allies,” he said.
He argued that “Syria is facing a dirty war against terrorism, fighting a global conspiracy. Our President, Bashar al-Assad, ordered to help the Lebanese people, the displaced people who have arrived for food and shelter.”
In his presentation, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Venezuela, Hojjatollah Soltani, pointed out that “we found a Security Council kidnapped by Beto of the United States, even by word of mouth, instead of sanctioning Israel, they condemned Iran”.
“We have called for justice to be applied against Netanyahu, who is a war criminal, has violated the sovereignty of several nations and international rights,” he said.
He added that “we are nations of peace, we are committed to peace and we gave the Security Council the opportunity to establish a cessation of destruction in Palestine. Unfortunately, the result was the other way around and Netanyahu moved forward with the assassination of great leaders in our region.”
“What then is left in the face of the incapacity of international organizations? Well, we have the right to self-defense,” he added.
