The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, warned once again on Monday of the revival of neofascist currents in the world, and the South American nation has been the victim of this resurgence.

During his participation in the XI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), the Venezuelan Prime Minister recalled the recent attempts of the extreme right to generate hatred in the country, and to promote a coup after the elections of last July 28.

“It's not that in Venezuela there is a process where a democratic political alternative emerges, no, it's simply about the existence of political leadership and political groups that represent the interests of the most rancid oligarchies and that have drifted, over the years, towards the ideology of fascism,” he denounced.

He recalled that these actions have been denounced in previous years, “and Commander (Hugo) Chávez even said it: The rise of extremist right-wing currents, denying democracy, denying the powers of the State, denying the powers of the State, denying the law, who wanted a massacre in Venezuela, cultivating intolerance and hatred and division that seek to divide our country,” he criticized.

In this regard, he pointed out that “today it is very clear that there is a resurgence and a revival of fascism that some people call neofascism, okay, but without a doubt that it is being empowered with the force of hatred, surrender and destruction of the national State and of social rights and the recolonization and surrender of our countries to the empire of the United States and North America. There is no doubt today that in Europe, in South America, in the United States of America there is a powerful resurgence of fascism,” he emphasized.
