President Maduro appoints Jorge Marquez as Vice President of Public Works and Minister of Electric Energy

This Monday, April 22, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, appointed General Jorge Eliézer Márquez as the new Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services and Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy.

“He is an expert in these subjects to continue articulating the response to electrical war and to continue recovering everything that needs to be recovered, to move forward, it is a good and necessary change,” he said.

Marquez, who had been serving as minister for the Office of the President, will replace Néstor Reverol, who will assume the Zulia Corporation (Corpozulia).

The National President thanked Minister Néstor Reverol for his four-year administration, “in times of guarimba, coups, invasions and four years, in times of electrical war, a total of eight years”.

“I asked Néstor Reverol to go to the state of Zulia, as president of CORPOZULIA, to go to Diosdado (Cabello) to deepen his work and recover the Zulia, the Lake and the streets. Zulia is abandoned,” he said.
