The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his Con Maduro+ program, denounced that the US intelligence agency is behind the campaign that circulates through some international media allied with the Venezuelan extreme right where he is accused of having said that the 2024 presidential elections “would be won by hook or by crook”.

“I never said it, I said speaking of conspiracies that if the Venezuelan people are surprised by an ambush of whatever character, if they invent, I say calm and sanity, I have always said it, nerves of steel, maximum popular mobilization and I added, because the team wins and we are going to win by hook or by crook in the face of any invention with these people, it's a simple concept that can be understood”, specified the Head of State.

The President stressed that in 25 years of the Bolivarian Revolution, his governments have faced more than 100 conspiracies and that this new episode of misrepresentation seeks to discredit, both outside and inside, his person's democratic vocation.

He was emphatic in denouncing that this discrediting operation through the distortion of his speech was planned by the Associated Press agency, which did not hesitate to point out that he defends the interests of the United States.

“They are the first to publish the news that is bounced off the White House portal, The Voice of America, and immediately the media linked to the United States, Europe and the Venezuelan extreme right are attached,” the president denounced.
