The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, activated this Thursday the Great Homeland of the South project with the Landless Movement of Brazil, which will lead this initiative with more than 180,000 hectares of productive land in the state of Bolivar.

During a day of work with the Patria Grande del Sur, the Head of State stressed that this is “one of the most important rescues that existed at the time and we have already made tremendous progress to activate all production plans”.

He highlighted that this project is “the largest led by peasant movements in South America to produce organic food on a large scale with regenerative agroecological agriculture methods for our people in Venezuela, for the people of northern Brazil and for export to other parts of the world.”

“We could say, it is the largest cooperative, human, productive project, led by alternative peasant movements, in the entire world. Where? In Venezuela, in the Bolivar state. Patria Grande del Sur,” he said.
