213 years after the Declaration of Independence, Venezuela is a free, sovereign and independent homeland for the glory of the founding fathers, said the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

During the start of the parade on the occasion of the 213th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and Day of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Head of State congratulated the People and the FANB for all the efforts they have made to maintain peace and self-determination in the country.

“We have overcome each test with unity. When traitors and coup plotters emerged on April 30, 2019, the People and the Armed Forces defeated them without firing a shot. What an embarrassment to those people! When they tried to invade Venezuela, on April 3, 2020, in the midst of a pandemic, we discovered, confronted and defeated them. What a global embarrassment to those who prepared and financed them! The Homeland came out in victory,” said President Maduro.

In the same way, he pointed out that, thanks to this important achievement, our country is in peace, stability, unity and dreaming of a promising future of well-being and happiness.

“I say to the People: Let's defend what is ours, this land belongs to us. Venezuela always wins,” he said.
