President Maduro: 200 years after Ayacucho, Venezuela is sovereign and respected in the world

President Nicolás Maduro, during the commemorative events of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Ayacucho, assured that, as during the 200 years of the Battle of Ayacucho, Venezuela is enjoying freedom, independence, sovereignty and respect for the world.

“In Venezuela, the ideas of freedom are vindicated. The Fatherland stands tall today, walking on its own feet, in peace!” , said President Nicolás Maduro during the surrender to the town of Caracas, on Paseo Los Próceres, of the Plaza Monumental Ayacucho, in homage to Antonio José de Sucre.
