The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the process of national dialogue as the fundamental way to achieve institutional transformations, during a message to the nation in which she also addressed the country's social priorities and reconstruction plans.

The president pointed out that sitting at the same table sectors that had not talked for years requires a deep understanding of the State. “Only those who know the State in depth can do it; I have been a minister in different areas, chancellor, executive vice-president and today I am president in charge,” she said. In this regard, he affirmed that the ongoing reforms require real capacity for execution and cannot remain only in documents.

In the framework of this dialogue, Rodríguez extended an invitation to factors that think differently to be incorporated with equitable rules. “I ask them to judge by the facts and to come to the table with the same rules for everyone,” he said. It also recognized citizen concerns about basic services and validated the right of workers to demand improvements. “To workers who have asked for wage improvements, they have the right to complain and I hear them,” he said.

Regarding immediate priorities, the head of state emphasized that management results must be directly reflected in the lives of families. “That your son can come back, that the light doesn't go out, that the salary reaches, that's rebirth,” he said. In addition, he guaranteed that the reconstruction of the areas affected by the double earthquake of June 24 will not stop, and he pledged to report monthly what works are being carried out and in what places.

Regarding the elections, the Head of State emphasized that “there will be elections, all those mandated by our Constitution, organized by a renewed electoral authority and with the world as a witness.” The president stressed that the elections should not be a problem or push the country back into times of confrontation, which no one wants anymore.

Finally, the president addressed Venezuelans abroad and assured that the conditions for their return are a priority for the Executive. “The return will always be voluntary, dignified and with guarantees,” he said, specifying that those who decide to return will find a country with job opportunities and respect for their documents in order.
