The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, supervised this Saturday the infrastructure projects and works of the El Gran San Blas Commune, in the Petare parish of Miranda state, where she verified the operation of the communal supply, the self-government room, the water treatment plant and an open-air market.

During the tour, the president highlighted the progress of the social and economic programs that are being implemented in the territory. “We are seeing the evolution of how we are distributing food across the country; it's an extraordinary social program because open-air markets bring food, cereals, vegetables, animal protein and sea protein at prices that are very affordable for our people,” he said.

Rodríguez also referred to the communal organization ahead of the popular consultation on October 18. “They have already selected their seven projects; I wish them the best because I know that these projects were born from the consultation of the assemblies, of the needs that communities see,” he said.

The head of state highlighted the country's economic growth and its impact on the people. “We have seen growth of 4.19% this year compared to last year in all agricultural production; there is growth in plant production, protein and fishing, and that growth must translate into benefits for the Venezuelan people,” he said.

In that regard, the president emphasized that the country is moving towards greater goals. “The Venezuelan people know that we are on our way to a great triumph for our country, to build up Venezuela's great capacities to make Venezuela a power in the future,” he stressed.

Rodríguez also reiterated that he brought the voice of the Venezuelan people to the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations. “With great pride, I brought the voice of the Venezuelan people to New York, with the satisfaction of having spoken for the people of Venezuela and that the international community understands that Venezuela is a people of peace, that wants tranquility and guarantees the future of our children,” he concluded.
