The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy
Rodríguez, ratified this Tuesday her commitment to the goal of “zero hunger” in the Latin American nation before
the year 2030, through the Venezuela Alimenta Plan.
During the inauguration of the National School of
Peasant Leadership “General of the Ezequiel Zamora People”, located in the state of Aragua, the
president reiterated the call to this sector to join the Plan. “Zero hunger in
Venezuela, we are going to achieve it, sooner rather than later we are going to achieve it, and it will be
an achievement of the Venezuelan people,” he said.
He recalled that the goal is set for the year 2030, but he
pledged that between the year 2027 and the year 2028, “we will have achieved the
goal of zero hunger thanks to you (...) In our
public purchasing program there is the Peasant Plan, where we buy your production,” he recalled.
In this regard, he urged the incorporation of the production of agricultural
cereals, pork, eggs, poultry, fruits and legumes into the Venezuela Alimenta
Plan, and recalled that starting Monday, November 2, the deployment of
the Productive Renaissance begins. “We're going all over the country,” he said.
