In statements made this Monday to the media, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that she was politically persecuted with her family when she was a child and that now there is no political persecution in Venezuela.
“As a child, I was personally politically persecuted with my family, today there is no political persecution in Venezuela,” she said, after the activation of the Comprehensive Medical Specialties Service for Women at the Dr. Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital.
In this regard, the head of state reaffirmed the political horizon towards which she focuses her institutional efforts. “It's the new Venezuela that I aspire to and it's the new Venezuela we're working for,” he said.
In addition, Rodríguez advocated independent, transparent justice without criminalizing poverty.
The National President reaffirmed the State's commitment to the protection of the most vulnerable sectors. “I pray for the poor in this country, because the main victims of justice in Venezuela are the poor,” he emphasized
