The general secretary of the Patria Para Todos Party (PPT), Ilenia Medina, reported that the political curtain supports the National Assembly (AN) investigating the theft of the assets and assets of the oil corporation CITGO, a subsidiary of Venezuela in the United States.
In this regard, the PPT shares the approach of the president of the Legislative Branch, Jorge Rodríguez, to create a Special Commission to investigate the theft of CITGO assets, said a note from Venezolana de Televisión.
He also stressed that the agreements of the Dialogue Table between opposition sectors and the Bolivarian Government include that the United States Government must incorporate the protection of CITGO based on international law.
“The U.S. government has a responsibility to respect international law because, if this Venezuelan asset were auctioned by North American courts, it would give space to reciprocity,” he said. At the same time, he said that in Venezuela a similar process could be applied with public or private US companies if the theft of CITGO takes place.
