Police authorities investigate new cases of intoxicated students in Bailadores Mérida

The single health authority of the state of Mérida, Gerardo Molina, confirmed the investigation of a new case of intoxicated students.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias, 30 students from the D. r Gerónimo Maldonado de Bailadores high school, in the Rivas Dávila municipality, were intoxicated and transferred to the emergency room of the I Aida Hospital in Montilva.

Molina confirmed that this fact is being investigated by the authorities; and added that 90 people were affected by the toxic substance.

He concluded that patients are out of danger “thanks to the immediate action of security and prevention bodies, such as Civil Protection and Fire Department of Mérida.”
