Bolivarian National Police (PNB) officials attached to the Criminal Investigation Division (DIP), in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo state, rescued a 5-month-old infant who would allegedly be sold in Lara state.

The procedure was carried out early this Thursday morning, after receiving a complaint about the sale of the infant, the newspaper Úlmas Noticias reported.

It became known that the commission moved to the El Cañito sector, Democracia Street in Tucacas (Falcón), where they arrested two women and a teenager, who posed as the girl's biological father and who had hidden the minor for the purpose of selling her in Lara.

The baby is safe and sound under the protection of the authorities.
