After
a complaint filed by Deputy Minister Carolina Cestari, members of the Bolivarian
National Police (PNB) attached to the Directorate of
Strategic and Tactical Actions succeeded in arresting 10 officials of the Ministry
of Housing and Habitat (MINVIVIENDA) for their alleged connection to a criminal
structure that evicted apartments to sell them in dollars, according to information published on the website of the
Latest News
(UN) newspaper.
In
this regard, it became known that the arrest of the members of this
structure was carried out at the Felipe Antonio Acosta Urban Planning Department; it was also
reported that the detainees allegedly used to intimidate
residents of that place with firearms to force them to evict the building.
On the
other hand, at the headquarters of the Bolivarian Government Real Estate, located in
Las Mercedes, Baruta municipality (Miranda), agents arrested five MINVIVIENDA
officials.
