At an event held in the Mother Parish of the Campo Elías municipality in the state of Mérida, the Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power of Urban Agriculture (MINPPAU), delivered the Trabuco Clap Kit to more than 130 Agrourban producers.

This delivery was carried out within the framework of the anniversary of the Local Supply and Production Committees (Clap), with the objective of strengthening local food production, promoting agri-food sovereignty and guaranteeing access to healthy and nutritious food for the Venezuelan people.

In this regard, Jhoanna Carrillo, head of the MINPPAU, highlighted the importance of food production in the current context and noted that the Trabuco Clap Plan not only provides tools and supplies to producers, but also “sows hope and shows that, with work and dedication, we can achieve great things”.

He added that this is the task of the MINPPAU and the Ministry of Food with the Trabuco Clap Plan to strengthen with productive techniques, with better knowledge, with inputs and tools, with leverage. “This year became a harvest year for the Clap.”

The Trabuco Clap Kit includes seeds, agricultural inputs, hand tools, technical training and agronomic support. This initiative joins other efforts of the Bolivarian Government to strengthen Urban Agriculture in Venezuela, through the AgroVenezuela Mission.
