As part of the policies to strengthen the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), through the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE Lara), carried out the reactivation of high-precision equipment in the chemistry laboratories of the Libertador Experimental Pedagogical University (UPEL), Barquisimeto headquarters.

According to a press release, the technical approach was developed in two organized phases: a preventive diagnosis carried out on September 28 and a specialized intervention day on October 2.

From a universe of 13 inspected devices, the technical brigade achieved the total recovery of six critical equipment for teaching and research, including two microscopes aimed at structural analysis and sample characterization, two variable power sources for electrochemical and circuit tests, a laboratory oven for drying and conditioning reagents, and a centrifuge for mixture separation processes and qualitative and quantitative research.

The return of these instruments directly benefits more than 2,300 students in the area of Natural Sciences, guaranteeing the development of laboratory practices essential for their professional training and the continuity of lines of research applied to the solution of community needs.

The recovery of these teams by national technical talent represents a significant saving of resources and demonstrates the effectiveness of technological sovereignty in the face of economic siege, returning the operation of the academy with Venezuelan hands.
