On May 6, 1945, for 78 years, the country's photographers and
cameramen have been celebrating their day, this commemoration taking place
with the creation of the Venezuelan Photojournalists Circle.
Photographic journalism, graphic journalism, photojournalism or graphic
reporting, is a genre of journalism that has to do directly
with photography, graphic design and video.
These professionals complement the journalist's work by
obtaining the images that accompany the written news.
At the international level, photojournalists celebrate their
day on May 19, 1912, the date on which the first trade organization of photographers called the Union of Press Photographers was founded in
Copenhagen Denmark, consisting in principle of six professionals in
the area, collecting local
media.
