The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre, called on the peoples of the world to unite to have a significant impact on the problems they face, to which are now added migration, deportation and tariffs.
During his participation in the XII Extraordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), he insisted that only together will they have a significant impact. “It is important to come together to discuss these issues in order to see how together we can confront each other, together as small States, to improve the lives of our peoples, ” he said.
“Our peoples are resilient, they understand that we need them on our side in order to be able to face these pressures. We strongly support coordination, cooperation so that collectively we can face these problems,” he added.
He also expressed his solidarity with the people of Venezuela and Cuba, because they have resisted so much in the face of so many attacks. “We have a deep sense of camaraderie with these countries and this feeling will continue,” he said.
“Saint Lucia will always be part of this effort to improve the quality of life of our peoples, count on that,” he concluded.
