Pérez Am: The cyclonic season begins in the country this Saturday, which will increase rainfall

The Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Carlos Pérez Am, recalled that this Saturday, June 1, the cyclonic season begins in Venezuela, which “will give more strength to the waves when they move they will have more inputs to generate more rain.”

The information was provided by Pérez Am, this Friday, May 31, during a telephone contact with Globovision, in which he spoke about the cyclonic season that the country is going through.

In this regard, he pointed out that the Bolivarian Government is maintaining a show of attention to the contingencies of rains of the last few hours.

The Deputy Minister assured that “we have a National Risk Management System that is activated and permanently monitoring the passage of these Tropical Waves in Venezuela.”

He explained that “at the national level, we registered some damages in the Cojedes state and we had effects on the inflow and outflow of water, and in the state of Aragua we were monitoring our systems.”

He also indicated that “the second Tropical Wave generated a lot of rainfall mainly in the state of Miranda, which was one of the most affected states.”
