“Pequiven Fertilizing the Country” Program kicks off in Guárico with demonstration rice plots

The Petrochemistry of Venezuela (PEQUIVEN) team carried out a productive day on the Santa Lucia plot, Francisco de Miranda municipality, Guárico state, with the purpose of boosting rice production.

This was specified by the national petrochemical industry through its social networks, where it details that universities and local producers participated in the activity.

“Our objective is to increase rice yields, and thus have agri-food sovereignty in the country,” said the regional director of the Ministry of People's Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands in the entity, Marbelys Jiménez.

With this day, the “Pequiven Fertilizing the Country” program begins, through a visit to demonstration plots in the field of rice.

The areas covered were the following: plot Lecherito 111; group 3 lot 8, with the producer, Xavier Meregote; plot B 170, in the Samán Gacho sector, with the producer, Hermes Fernández; plot of the Territorial Polytechnic University of Los Llanos Juana Ramírez; with the rector, Enmanuel Guevara; and finally, the Fundo Santa Lucia plot, with the producer, Vito Croce, in which the progress of each planting could be evaluated separately, and validated the benefits of fertilizers made by the state petrochemical company.
