People's Power Subcommittee agrees to set up working groups with the Fishermen's Movement

The Subcommittee on Popular Power agreed to set up working
groups with representatives of the Hugo Chávez Fishermen's Movement, in
order to collect the sector's proposals and submit them to the Ministry of
Popular Power for Fisheries and Aquaculture (MPPPA) and promote the country's productive leverage.
This
was reported by the president of the Subcommittee on Popular Power, deputy Gabriela
Peña (PSUV/Miranda), who pointed out that men and women fishermen from various
states of the country expressed the importance of strengthening and strengthening
social programs that, historically, have been developed by the Bolivarian Government.
The
parliamentarian indicated that it is necessary to strengthen the social programs that
were born thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution, “they told me that they
were the driving forces behind the creation of the MPPPA, and it is consistent within the framework of the
exercise of Popular Power that they want to make proposals to the ministry.”
He stressed
that social movements are essential to generate
control processes that guarantee the country's fishing councils the
distribution and commercialization at fair and accessible prices.
Finally, he stressed that the idea is to work together with fishermen's organizations to eradicate intermediaries, recognizing the needs of the sector to promote the sustainable and sustainable productive chain of access to protein for the entire population.
