The president of the Government of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, launched himself against those affected by DANA who booed him during his visit with King Felipe VI and his wife Letizia to the Valencian Community.

“We are not going to stray despite what may happen with some absolutely marginal violent people; what the whole of the Valencian and Spanish population wants is to look forward, to move forward with their lives, with an enormous gesture of responsibility and solidarity,” the president told the media.

On the other hand, as reported by the Sputnik agency, Sánchez said that he understands the anguish of citizens before DANA, but he spoke out against any type of violence after his visit together with the kings and the president of the Generalitat Valenciana, Carlos Mazón, to the municipality of Paiporta, where they have been greeted with mud, insults and throwing objects.

In an appearance before the press at the region's Integrated Operational Coordination Center, the head of the Spanish Government stated that “in the end, most of the citizens, the vast majority of citizens, what they want is the solution”.

“These are commitments on the part of public institutions and obviously what they do is reject and marginalize any type of violence that can be perpetrated, such as those we have seen, unfortunately, today,” he said.

This November 3rd, the kings accompanied by Sánchez and Mazón arrived in Paiporta, ground zero of the devastation caused by the floods in eastern Spain. The visit had to be abruptly suspended due to the altercations involving some Valencians who threw mud balls and other objects at the official entourage, shouting insults.
