Pedro Infante: The president's participation in the UN will be to defend the interests of all Venezuelans

The participation of the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, in the UN General Assembly, will be for the defense of our country, peace and the interests of all Venezuelans, said the first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Pedro Infante.

“First time that a woman represents, as president, our country in the General Assembly of the United Nations; and with it the dignity, courage and historical burden of Bolivar,” she highlighted during the extraordinary session of the AN, this Wednesday.

Infante also stressed that the Head of State, after the aggression suffered by our country on January 3, managed, together with the People and the Revolution, to defeat the violence and warmongering interests of those who expected a civil war to break out.

“There is political stability in this country. Political stability is not with guarimbas, nor with sanctions, nor with bombings. Political stability is achieved through dialogue, working, meeting, and Venezuela is currently following that path,” he stressed.

In this regard, he criticized the double standard of the sectors of the right that criticize the problems that our country may have, but they were part of those who called for sanctions, blockades and even bombings against Venezuela.

In the same way, the parliamentarian assured that in Venezuela there is a people building territorial peace from their spaces. “Social welfare passes through work, through production. But the social welfare that generates economic stability involves the lifting of more than a thousand coercive measures and the economic blockade against our country,” he stressed.
