The first vice-president of the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Pedro Infante, highlighted the importance of the National Dialogue Table days held between the months of August, September and October of 2026, which directly point to the normalization of political, economic and social life in Venezuela.
Infante emphasized that the country is making steady progress in overcoming the destabilization scenarios experienced in recent years.
“A country that has experienced a military incursion or that is facing more than a thousand unilateral coercive measures is not in a normal situation. Normalization is necessary and involves understanding, recognition and reconciliation”, stressed the parliamentarian.
In this regard, he said, the National Dialogue Table has made tangible progress during its third cycle of work.
Among the areas addressed by the technical commissions, democratic strengthening, the transformation of the justice system, freedom of expression, socio-economic rights and the promotion of projects for the recovery of Venezuelan gold held abroad for the benefit of social care and the National Electricity System (SEN) stand out.
Historical Responsibility
After the recent meeting between the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the representative of the 2015 National Assembly, Infante described the meeting as a testimony of high institutional maturity.
“President Delcy Rodríguez assumes with historical responsibility the weight that the dialogue table deserves at this time, in a country that is coming from a very tough period of political confrontation and extreme polarization. The president with political stature reaffirms that the path is peace, encounter, respect and the Constitution,” she said.
Finally, he valued the climate of understanding reached at these tables. “In this country there have been many efforts for dialogue (...), but this has been the most fruitful, most concrete dialogue with the most tangible results,” he said.
