PDVSA: Rapidly controlled fire registered at the Paraguaná Refining Center

The state company Petrleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), issued a statement, in which it reported that the fire at the Paraguaná Refining Center, in Falcón state, was quickly brought under control, which was caused by the rupture of a natural gas line that feeds the boilers of the Cardón Refinery.

In the aforementioned statement, PDVSA specified that the fire occurred at 3:25pm this Tuesday, October 6, and was fully controlled by the rapid action of the Refinery's Emergency Response and Control personnel, without registering injured workers, damage to third parties or major damage.
