Within the framework of the contingency and comprehensive assistance plans activated in the central-north coastal region, the national government, through Petrleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), carried out an extraordinary deployment of fuel distribution. This operational strategy seeks to ensure the optimal functioning of public services, the transport of heavy loads and the mobility of rescue brigades working in affected areas.
“We have ordered the immediate disposal of more than 1 million 500 thousand liters of diesel to meet the logistical and operational requirements derived from the contingency situation that occurs in the state of La Guaira,” said the Deputy Minister of Commercial Policy, Ricardo Gómez, who also stressed that this volume of fuel guarantees the energy support necessary to maintain the continuity of removal and social assistance.
“It is imperative to highlight the stability and continuous strengthening of the National Refining System, which ensures the constant supply of both diesel and gasoline for the entire domestic market,” said Gómez when evaluating the response of the national oil industry.
He also confirmed that hydrocarbon production remains shielded and with sufficient technical response capacity to supply the emergency fronts activated in the country.
Venezuela confirms the commitment of the state oil company to safeguarding territorial energy security. The energy sector authorities concluded by stating that the inventories of the filling plants remain stable and under constant monitoring to ensure the timely attention of the people.
