Panic buttons installed in Caracas to ensure quick attention to emergencies

The Caracas Intelligent Foundation reported that panic buttons were installed at strategic points in the Venezuelan capital to provide quick responses to emergency situations that Caracas residents may present.

According to the entity, attached to the Mayor's Office of Caracas, in its account on the social network Instagram, it points out that devices are a crucial tool to ensure the protection of citizens.

In the event of any irregular situation, the citizen who has a mishap must press a button on the device, which will activate an alert that notifies the authorities and emergency services, who will respond with immediate intervention.

“Together we are building a safer and more connected Caracas,” the statement concluded.

This security measure emanates from the Caracas Inteligente forum cycles, which were held at the headquarters of the Ministry of People's Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT) since last June 13 with the participation of the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (Fundacite Caracas), the People's Power, among others.

These days on the socialization of knowledge made it possible to expand debates on topics related to science and technology, especially to understand how the processes of adaptation to the new Digital Era are developing.
