The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the murder of 15 Red Crescent, emergency and United Nations (UN) employees by the Israeli Army eight days ago in the southern Gaza Strip.
Palestine assured that criminal action “constitutes a war crime that requires international accountability.”
The official Palestinian agency, WAFA, reported that the ministry maintains that Israeli forces “executed” the paramedics “after torturing them” and then leaving their bodies in place (the Tal el Sultan sector, in Rafah) “without any moral or legal scruples”.
After a week without hearing from officials, staff from the Palestine Red Crescent and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) were able to access the site on Sunday, where they found the 14 bodies of 8 paramedics, 5 civil defense rescuers and a UN employee buried.
