Padrino López: Thanks to the ideals of Commander Chávez, Venezuela remains on its feet (+press release)

Thanks to the visionary ideas of the Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, Venezuela stands firm in resistance against insatiable historical enemies, said Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

In a statement released to commemorate 12 years since the physical disappearance of Commander Chávez, the holder of the Defense portfolio reaffirmed his absolute loyalty, conviction and commitment to keeping alive the invaluable legacy that this giant left to humanity

Twelve years have passed since the grim afternoon of March 5, 2013, when colossal sadness shook the soul of an entire continent. Commander Hugo Chávez, the revolutionary militant, the imperterite of 4F, had transcended this world, crossing the threshold of the corporeal to eternalize in the collective consciousness of the sovereign. Since then, the pain of such irreparable loss was turned into strength and the spirit of this pro-man was transformed into a people, inhabiting the hearts of all who truly love this country.

That undefeated soldier with determination, example and humility, not only led an unprecedented democratic process of national liberation, but also cultivated in Venezuelans the broadest and most authentic sense of humanism, solidarity, social justice, equality, national dignity and peace, setting the course to follow in the construction of 21st Century Socialism. Hence, the depth of his critical and emancipatory thinking fertilized an army of men and women who today, in perfect popular military-police fusion, are willing to defend their most genuine project: the Bolivarian Revolution.

In the figure of this everlasting military leader, we also exalt the refounder of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, because it was he who managed to vindicate his nationalist, anti-oligarchic and anti-imperialist character. Thanks to their visionary ideas, the Fatherland stands, with its integrity safe and in firm resistance against insatiable historical enemies. For this reason, with absolute loyalty and conviction, we reaffirm our commitment to keeping alive the priceless legacy that this giant left to humanity. For present and future generations: Chávez is undying love, fighting force and moral conscience!
