Padrino López: Oligarchs who hate the Civic-Military Union so much will not come here to dismantle the Militia

Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López rejected the avowed plans of the Venezuelan oligarchy to eliminate the Bolivarian National Militia if they were to seize power.

“The Bolivarian Militia is here to stay! Oligarchs who hate the Civic-Military Union so much will not come here to dismantle our 21st century People's Army,” Padrino López emphasized in a message posted on his X account.

In addition, in a video that accompanies the aforementioned message, he assured that the Militia has its legal basis in what is established in our Constitution and in the Constitutional Law of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB).

In the same way, he stressed that the genesis of this military component is historic, since Simón Bolívar and Ezequiel Zamora were the forerunners of involving the people in independence struggles.
