Padrino López: It's remarkable that those who have supported Guyana now want to join national politics

The Minister of Defense, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, rejected that factors of the Venezuelan right, after having sided with imperialism in Venezuela's legitimate claim to the Esequibo territory, intend to be incorporated into national politics.

“It is remarkable that there are still beings in this country who, after genuflexing themselves genuflexly to imperialist interests that deny our claim and support the usurping State, now intend to join national politics, like a Trojan Horse. We tell them that neither the people nor the FANB suffer from amnesia, and they will be defeated again by our union and institutional strength,” said the senior military officer in his X account.

In the same way, the holder of the Defense portfolio recalled that, in accordance with Article 25 of the Organic Law for the Defense of Guiana Essequiba, those who have engaged in conduct that “directly or indirectly” supported Guyana's position in the territorial dispute, will not be eligible for elected office.
