Years ago, US imperialism declared war on Venezuela and has used Unilateral Coercive Measures as “missiles only kill people” to try to wipe out our country, said Defense Minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“The United States declared war on us. But 200 years ago, our liberators waged a war head-to-toe against the most powerful empire of that time, and we succeeded. From here we tell him: Enough of the sanctions, lift the sanctions now! We are going to continue to resist under President Nicolás Maduro,” said the senior military official from an act of collecting signatures to demand that the United States lift the economic blockade against our country.

On the other hand, Padrino expressed his indignation at the recent statements made by the member of the imaginary government of Narnia, Carlos Vecchio, about the actions being taken by Venezuela for the recovery of our historic territory of Guiana Esequiba.

In this regard, he described as “scoundrels and traitors to the Homeland” those right-wing groups that walk around the world demanding sanctions against our country.

“What traitors to the Fatherland. Because this' Venezuelan ', instead of criticizing all the action of installing military bases of the Southern Command in Guyana, he criticizes the FANB, which is doing social work in the Essequibo. No one can take away from us, as a sovereign country, the right to carry out military operations throughout the territory as indicated by the constitution,” he emphasized.

In the same way, he pointed out that the People keep in their memory those who have called for sanctions against Venezuela.

Also, Padrino López called on the People and the FANB to be attentive to any attempt by the right to rob the country of peace and political stability.

“Anything can happen in the next few days to try to boycott the political intention of reaffirming our democracy through presidential elections. From the FANB we raise our voices and say (to imperialism) “go home” because we will know how to defend our democracy and the popular will,” said the senior official.
