The sectoral vice-president for Political Sovereignty, Security and Peace, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, described the kidnapping of 238 compatriots in a maximum-security prison in El Salvador as an attack on the identity and dignity of the Venezuelan people.
During the commemorative ceremony for the Bicentenary of the planting of Colonel Leonardo Infante, from the headquarters of the Ministry of Defense, he repudiated attempts by imperialism to “commercialize Venezuelan migrants and take them to concentration camps in other countries.”
“This act of injustice that is being committed today against Venezuelans is also strongly rejected by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, precisely, we reject that imperialist, segregationist and supremacist attitude of wanting to commodify Venezuelan migrants and take them to concentration camps in other countries,” he said.
In addition, the senior military official assured that these attacks on our gesture will not succeed in subduing the Venezuelan people, who will continue the anti-colonialist, anti-imperialist battle, “for our independence and full sovereignty, from the people, with our institutions, our Constitution, our laws, with our people in perfect popular, military and police union.”
In the same way, he reiterated that these actions of the Donald Trump administration against the Venezuelan people are also against all of Latin America, the Caribbean and against all of humanity.
“Remembering those episodes of the Nazis with their concentration camps, we must remember this, we must refresh those ideas because they seem to be resurrected. The American plutocracy is in aggressive mode right now, they are drunk with power and they are shooting tariffs all over the world without looking at whom,” he emphasized.
