On October 31, 1969, by orders of the then president Rafael Caldera, the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) was raided and seized by the military, an action carried out within the framework of the policy of repression, persecution and death that the Venezuelan right used against left-wing militancy with the sponsorship and collaboration of North American imperialism.

“Kangaroo” was the name given to this illegal and genocidal action that left 10 dead and a hundred injured. Three thousand security personnel broke into this school with bullets and clubs, to crush the student protests that students from this university campus were promoting to demand demands from the sector.

This arbitrary and illegal takeover lasted for two years, during which students were besieged, persecuted and even disappeared by elements of the former Directorate of Police Intelligence Services (DISIP) created by the Copeyan ruler with the advice of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and the Israel Intelligence and Special Operations Institute (MOSSAD).

55 years after this event, which reveals the fascist and genocidal face of the Venezuelan right and its imperial allies, the Venezuelan people honor the victims of this atrocious crime that remains in the memory of those who fight the lackeys of old and new empires under the slogan "they will not return! ”.
