The Venezuelan delegation led by the Minister for Ecosocialism, Josué Alejandro Lorca, held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Haitham Al Ghais, with the objective of coordinating efforts to achieve global environmental balance in the face of the climate crisis.
For the first time, an OPEC Secretary General attends a United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP28), this time it was held in the city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
In addition, both authorities discussed the need to advance cooperation and technology transfer to consolidate that an environmentally sustainable system is achieved in all countries.
