Official! Josef Martínez was announced as the new player for CF Montreal (+MLS)

Venezuelan striker Josef Martínez has been announced as the new player for the Canadian club CF Montreal, in Major League Soccer (MLS).

The announcement was made by the club through its account on Social Network X, where it explained that the Venezuelan signed a one-year contract, which includes an option for the 2025 season.

Martinez arrived at the Canadian club, free, after playing last season with Inter Miami in the same league.

The Venezuelan has played 7 seasons in the MLS, was the winner of the MLS Cup and MVP of the MLS Cup in 2018, the United States Open Cup (2019) and the Champions Cup (2019), he won the Golden Boot in 2018.

Vinotinto, with 105 goals, is one of the 13 players who have scored at least 100 goals in the MLS, being the fastest player to achieve that feat, after doing so in just 125 games. He is currently the ninth all-time goal scorer in the MLS.
